Where we help

### When teams call Other Land about an AI product

You shipped fast with an LLM. Now it has to hold up.

Post-AI cleanup
Teams who built quickly with AI tools and now need the product, and the way they present it, to stand next to funded competitors. Built fast

Your developers ship with agents. Design is still the slow part.

Design at agent speed
Design lands in your repo as a pull request, built from your components, not a Figma file waiting for translation. Speed

Every AI feature you add makes the product harder to use.

AI on top
Live products with real users, layering AI onto years of existing functionality. We keep the navigation from collapsing under it. Complexity

The feature works. Users open it once and never return.

Trust and adoption
We rebuild the moments where users decide whether to believe the output, with sources, confidence, undo and a way to correct it. Trust

How we work

### Other Land's AI product design process

1. Setup
Team, access, and how we will ship

- We scope the work and pick an AI-native designer or design engineer.
- Kickoff with both teams, plus access to your tools and data.
- Design in Figma, in code with Claude Code or Cursor, or both.
- One to two weeks before design starts, and a few days on a four-week sprint.

2. Context
Two to ten days inside your product

- Stakeholder interviews with product, support, marketing and devs.
- We map the roadmap, the expectations, and what you already tried.
- Where possible, we talk to your users about what actually hurts.
- Your analytics and user feedback show where trust in the output breaks.
- We study AI patterns in comparable products, not generic UX.
- First drafts land right after onboarding, not a month later.

3. Sprints
Weekly sprints, design that ships

- We propose solutions from that evidence, or work your roadmap as it is.
- Estimates upfront, and an update on what shipped every week.
- Trust patterns first, with sources, confidence, undo, and edit paths.
- We build an AI-ready design system, so generated UI stays consistent.
- Agents build from your components, with a design review on every screen.
- Redesigns run screen by screen, in priority order.

4. Handoff
Handoff in batches, prototypes over documents

- Screens go over in batches, so review and build start early.
- Clickable prototypes explain the logic better than a spec does.
- Figma MCP hands components to your coding agents, not screenshots.
- Front-end as a pull request, built in Claude Code or Cursor.
- We write documentation only where something would break without it.

Design review

### How Other Land reviews AI-generated design

#### Solves the real problem

Each screen is checked against the user problem we defined, not only the prompt that generated it.

#### Follows your rules

Your design system, the PRD and trust patterns for sources, confidence and undo. Each comment becomes a new rule.

#### The design director signs off

Automated checks catch most issues. Our design director reviews each screen by eye before it reaches your team.

What you get

### AI product deliverables

Product design in Figma, front-end as a pull request, or both.

Clickable prototypes you can open and use, instead of specification documents.

Trust patterns for AI output, with sources, confidence, undo and corrections.

An AI-ready design system, or a UI kit when speed matters more.

Why us

### Why AI teams choose Other Land

#### Small dedicated team

An embedded designer, a design director, and a product manager. Three people on your product, one price.

#### AI-native designers

An AI-native product designer or design engineer, in Figma, in code, or both, matched to your team.

#### Sprint based

Kanban or scrum, Jira, Slack, Trello. We work inside your rituals, or bring ours if you have none.

#### Product thinking first

We start from your users, data and stakeholders, not just the ticket. Your roadmap is one option.

#### AI-ready design system

Figma structured for MCP and AI rules for Cursor and Claude Code, so generated screens use your real tokens.

#### Built in your stack

Claude Code, Cursor, Figma MCP, Storybook and React. Design lands where your developers work.

Who it's for

### AI product design for every company stage

#### An AI startup or MVP

Speed and focus. An AI-native product designer ships the version real users trust, not the version that demos well.

#### A scale-up adding AI

We bring a fresh view of your AI features or follow your roadmap, whichever your team needs, and ship weekly with your squads.

#### An enterprise product

We join your squads and design team, plan complex AI rollouts, and keep communication between big teams on track.

Collaboration models

### Four ways to work with Other Land. Pick the setup that fits you

We shipped an AI feature fast. Now it needs a team behind it.

Embedded Designer
An AI-native product designer who works inside your team, owns your design, and ships on your roadmap. Full-time or part-time, for as long as you need. From 4 weeks

The model works. The interface around it does not. Can you fix it?

Project Sprint
A clear scope with a clear outcome. One flow, one funnel, one release. We come in, do the work, and ship it with your team. 1 to 3 months

Users open the AI feature once and never come back. Can you find out why?

UX Diagnostic
A focused look at where your product loses users, backed by your analytics. You get the problems, the causes, and a list of what to fix first. 2 to 6 weeks

We have steady design work, but not a full-time hire's worth.

Fractional Support
Ongoing design help without a full-time hire. A set number of hours each month, for whatever needs doing. Scale up or down anytime. From 40h / month

### AI product design questions, answered

#### Can we work directly in Cursor or Claude Code?

Yes. Other Land designs in Figma, builds directly in code, or both, matched to your team and product. What matters is the order.
Generating screens straight into code works until the fourth screen, and then every new flow drifts from the last three. So we lay the foundation first, the layouts, components and rules, in code and Storybook or in Figma, and only then let Claude Code or Cursor agents generate from it. Figma MCP connects the two, so your coding agents read real components instead of guessing from a screenshot.
If you already built something there, we use it. It tells us what you wanted and where it broke, which is faster than starting from a blank file. We hand over front-end as a pull request your developers review, which is design engineering.
If the foundation needs to be reusable across teams, that is a design system.

#### Do you use AI to design AI products?

Yes. Designing with AI is the default at Other Land. Agents build screens from your components in Claude Code or Cursor, and Figma MCP hands real components to your coding agents.
Every screen passes a design review against the user problem, your design system and the PRD, and our design director signs off before it reaches you. Generated fast, never generated blind.
Some teams still design in Figma, so we match the approach and the designer to your product.

#### How do you fix low trust and adoption of AI features?

That is most of what Other Land does. Low adoption of an AI feature is rarely about the model, which is why it is an AI UX design problem rather than an engineering one.
Users do not trust output they cannot check, so they verify it by hand, and once they are verifying by hand they may as well go back to the spreadsheet.
The fix is in the interface. That means showing where an answer came from, being honest about confidence, making it cheap to undo, and giving users a way to correct the output instead of just accepting or rejecting it. We audit where users drop off, then rebuild those moments. On one forecasting platform that meant 83 documented UX problems and 60 design solutions covering all of them. See also our UX audit.

#### Can you help us decide which AI features to build?

Yes, but we start somewhere else.
If the feature set is still open, designing screens is premature. We begin with stakeholder interviews, user conversations where possible, and a look at how comparable products solved the same problem. That usually produces a short list of features worth building and one worth building first.
It also settles the shape of the thing. A chatbot, an agent running in the background, or generative AI folded into a flow users already know are three different products, and most teams arrive assuming the first one.
Then we design that one, put it in front of users, and let the result decide what comes next.

#### Why hire Other Land instead of a freelancer?

Because you are not buying hands, you are buying decisions.
You get an AI-native product designer who has done your kind of work before, and behind them a design director and a product manager who stay involved. However senior one designer is, three people looking at the same problem reach a better answer than one person looking at it alone.
It also means you are not exposed when that one person is ill, on holiday, or gone.

#### How quickly will we see the first results?

About two weeks after the designer starts you have something concrete to click and argue about. Not a status report, a prototype.
Setup takes one to two weeks, onboarding two to ten days, then first drafts, and detailed prototypes usually a week later.

#### Can we keep you on support after the main scope is done?

Yes, and most clients do. Once the heavy work is finished, teams usually move to Fractional Support, a set number of hours a month for new features, iterations, and keeping the design system from drifting.
You can scale it down and back up again.

#### Can you work with our existing brand and design system?

Yes. If you have a design system, we follow it. If it needs work, we make it more solid. If you only have brand guidelines, we build the product layer on top of them.
In AI products it also keeps generated screens consistent, because Cursor and Claude Code build from your real tokens.

#### Have you designed AI products before?

Yes. Other Land has designed Persona, an AI platform for user interviews, Asper, an AI SaaS for demand forecasting and pricing decisions, and Takko AI, an internal assistant grounded in company knowledge. On one AI forecasting platform the team mapped and fixed 83 UX problems, and designing straight in code cut the time to the first clickable flow from 28 to 5 days.

#### How much does AI product design cost?

Other Land works in weekly sprints and bills every four weeks, like a subscription, with a four-week minimum. You choose the setup: an embedded designer on your roadmap, a project sprint for one release, or fractional support from 40 hours a month. After a 30-minute intro call Other Land sends a written estimate for your actual scope, so you know the number before anything starts.
