When you need us

### When does a company need brand design?

Everything we make looks like it was generated.

The brand was never designed
You shipped fast and the identity came from a template or a generator. It holds until a buyer compares you to a funded competitor. First identity

We do something different now and the brand never caught up.

The product moved, the brand stayed
Positioning changed, the audience changed, the visual language did not. Sales decks and the site now argue with each other. Repositioning

Nobody has touched our identity in five years.

Credible company, dated design
The business is solid and the market moved on. Design became the weakest signal you send, and it shows up in how deals start. Refresh

Every channel looks like a different company.

Nothing holds together
The site, the deck, and the social feed drifted apart, because nobody wrote the rules and there were no templates to follow. Consistency

How we run brand design

### Brand guidelines and assets in 3-8 weeks

1. Sprint 1
Brief and messaging

- Goals and audience, set from customer feedback, stakeholders and competitors.
- Customer portraits, positioning, brand persona, and tone of voice.
- A messaging guideline, because a brand speaks before it is looked at.

2. Sprint 2
First design concepts

- A design session where we review other brands and what you respond to.
- Three directions, each a rough set: colour, type, logo, sample banners.
- Enough to judge the feel, not yet pixel perfect. You pick one.
- Two to four concepts before we commit to one.

3. Sprint 3
Main design scope

- We refine the chosen direction until every detail holds up.
- Logo, palette, typography, iconography, illustration and photography style.
- Applied to real mockups, so you see a brand rather than a logo on white.

4. Sprint 4
Secondary assets

- Templates for social media, presentations, and corporate merch.
- Custom animation, a wider illustration pack, photography selection.
- Prompts for generating new illustrations and images in the same style.
- Every source file, asset and prompt handed over to you.

Why us

### Why choose Other Land for brand design

#### An AI-native brand designer

Over ten brands for digital companies, and every direction reviewed by our design director.

#### Ready in three to eight weeks

The range depends on scope. Delivery date is agreed in the first week, before design starts.

#### Consistent across every channel

Web, marketing, and sales run off one system, with templates and prompts so nothing drifts.

### Brand design questions, answered

#### How long does a brand design project take?

A brand project at Other Land takes three to eight weeks. A refresh that keeps a recognisable mark and rebuilds everything around it sits at the short end. A full identity from scratch, with a wide set of applications, sits at the long one. We agree the scope and the delivery date in week one, before design starts.
If you need it ready for a raise or a launch, say the date on the intro call and we will tell you honestly what fits and what follows after. Usually merch and the deeper illustration work can wait. The core system cannot.

#### What is the difference between a refresh and a rebrand?

A refresh keeps what people already recognise, usually the name and something of the mark, and rebuilds the system around it, from colour, type, icons and illustration to the rules. A rebrand starts from the meaning and changes everything downstream, including the mark itself.
Most teams who arrive asking for a rebrand turn out to need a refresh, because the recognition they already have is worth more than they assume. The reverse happens too, when the positioning moved so far that a refresh would only dress up the wrong idea. Other Land says which one fits, and why, on the first call, before anyone signs anything.

#### Who works on the brand, and what do you need from us?

An AI-native brand designer who has built over ten brands for digital companies, led by the Other Land design director. On your side we need key stakeholders we choose together, about two hours a week for reviews, and access to current files, positioning notes, and the materials sales and marketing actually use day to day.
We build the brief and the references with you in week one. Teams often find that week useful on its own, because it forces decisions about positioning that had been sitting unresolved for months.

#### What if none of the concepts land?

It rarely happens at Other Land, because the first week is designed to prevent it. By the time we show directions, we have agreed what the brand has to say and who it has to convince, so the concepts are answers to a question you helped write.
If nothing lands anyway, we go back for another round rather than push a direction you do not believe in. We keep each direction whole, never averaging two into one to please the room. That is how brands end up looking like nothing in particular, which is the problem most teams arrive here trying to solve.

#### Will an AI-assisted brand look generated?

No. At Other Land AI does production work, not decisions, where it fits the project. It speeds up illustration, icon sets, and deck layouts. Every direction, and every choice about what the brand means and how it reads, goes through an AI-native brand designer and our design director.
The concept stage exists for this reason. You see two to four thought through directions and pick one, rather than accepting the first output that looked fine. Most teams come to us because their current identity looks generated, so more of the same, faster, is the one thing we avoid.

#### What do we own after a brand project?

Everything Other Land makes. Editable source files for the logo, icons, and illustrations, the guidelines document, and the templates for decks and social. You also get the prompts we used and the local asset folders behind them, so your team can produce new social posts, decks, and campaign materials in the same style without us.
Every file runs on your own accounts and licences. We stay on support afterwards, and that stays your choice.

#### Can Other Land design the website too?

Yes, as a separate scope on the website design and development page, and it runs faster together, because the identity gets designed with the site in mind rather than handed to someone else to interpret. Together they usually take eight to twelve weeks rather than the sum of both.
If your site is sound structurally and only the look is dated, we can restyle what exists inside this scope instead of rebuilding it. Bring both questions to the call and we will scope whichever combination is actually real.

#### What happens after the brand handover?

Other Land stays on support. The first months are when gaps in any brand system show up, like the template nobody thought of, the format a campaign needs next week, the one application that was out of scope. Some teams run everything in house with the prompts and asset libraries we hand over.
Others want ongoing design capacity, and for them Fractional Support picks up where the brand project ends, with a designer already fluent in the brand we just built.

#### How much does brand design cost?

A brand project at Other Land takes three to eight weeks from kickoff to handover and includes two to four concepts before you commit to one. It is billed every four weeks with a four-week minimum, and you get a written estimate after a 30-minute intro call. You own 100% of the files, assets and prompts at the end. To carry the brand into the product, an embedded designer can stay on after handover.
