When you need us

### Four growth problems Other Land fixes

People reach the paywall and then do not go through with it.

Conversion and trust
We rebuild the moment of decision. Proof placed where the doubt is, pricing and terms said plainly, and every step that is not load-bearing removed. Conversion

Onboarding ends and people close the product right after.

Activation and aha moment
We shorten the path to first value, so the next action is obvious and someone walks away with something worth having inside the first session. Activation

The feature shipped, and almost nobody has touched it.

Feature engagement
We change how the feature is introduced and simplify its first screen, so the value reads in seconds, AI features included. Then we add gamification where it helps. Engagement

People do not come back, and day seven is close to zero.

Retention and return loops
We design the reason to return. Notifications with something to say, a repeating loop inside the product, and small layers of value that build up. Retention

How we work

### How does a growth design cycle work?

1. Problem
We define the problem before anyone designs a screen

- Interviews with your team, support, sales, and whoever sees users
- Your analytics first, to see where the drop happens and to whom
- No analytics yet is fine, we help you set the right events up
- Then we wait for real data instead of guessing in the meantime
- One written problem statement, tied to a metric and to revenue

2. Solutions
We find the cause, then design against that cause

- Competitor best practices for the same problem, researched first
- We name the gap, whether it is trust, motivation, or a reminder
- Hypotheses written down and prioritized by effort and expected lift
- Solutions checked against your real stack, not an ideal one
- Solutions handed over as Figma files or Claude artifacts

3. Testing
We validate against real data, not against opinions

- A/B tests where your traffic supports them, run to significance
- Before and after analytics when a split test is not possible
- Deep interviews and usability testing when the volume is too low
- One number agreed upfront, so the result is not open to debate

4. Iteration
We decide whether good enough is actually good enough

- We record the result and compare it against what we expected
- What did not work gets examined, not quietly dropped and forgotten
- The next hypothesis goes into the queue and the cycle runs again
- You keep the designs, the events, and the reasoning behind both

Why bring Other Land in

### We own the number, not just the screens

#### We own the number

We take one metric, like activation or conversion, and own it with you from the first hypothesis to the shipped change.

#### Evidence before ideas

Every hypothesis starts from your analytics, user interviews and support tickets, so the team argues about data, not taste.

#### High impact, low effort first

Ideas are ranked by impact and effort, so the changes that pay back fastest ship first and fund the rest.

#### Fresh eyes on old screens

After two years on the same screens the obvious goes invisible. We see what your team has stopped noticing.

#### We push back

We take your context seriously, and we still challenge the team where the data says otherwise.

#### A view across every project

Our design director and product manager see what moved numbers in other products, and bring it to yours.

Measured results

### What Other Land's growth work moved

+63%
conversion after a new website for an online learning platform

+49.2%
conversion on a gift card e-commerce platform

8% → 23%
activation of key features in a restaurant B2B SaaS

5h → 1.5h
onboarding, from calls with support to self-serve

−18%
support load after the same B2B SaaS redesign

7 clients
won after two new self-serve features in a B2B SaaS

Your growth team

### How Other Land is set up for growth

#### A team of three

An AI-native product designer, a design director who validates the work, and a product manager. All three on one metric.

#### Sprint based

We work in weekly sprints, four weeks minimum, so you see progress each week. If your team has rituals, we join them.

#### AI in the workflow

AI for research, analytics, prototyping, testing and handoff, matched to your team. If you design in Figma, so do we.

Client reviews

### What clients say about Other Land

B2B2C Marketplace
We've worked with Other Land for six years. They designed our first website, later redesigned it, took on mobile, and helped our brand and marketing team along the way. The redesign changed how the product performs. Our customers move through it faster, and our support team noticed the drop in questions almost immediately. Six years in, they still know our product as well as we do.

### Growth design questions, answered

#### What is growth design?

Growth design is product design aimed at one business metric, such as activation, conversion or retention. Other Land finds where users drop off from your analytics and user interviews, designs the fix, tests it with an A/B test or a before-and-after comparison, and reports the result against what was expected.

#### Does Other Land guarantee growth results, and how fast?

We do not guarantee a number, and you should be careful with anyone who does. Conversion and retention move on pricing, acquisition quality, and the market, and design is one input among those. What Other Land commits to is the method: one metric agreed before we start, the funnel instrumented before we touch it, changes shipped in small releases so the effect is attributable, and a straight answer when something did not work.
On timing, a first hypothesis usually ships in two to four weeks. Reading the result takes as long as your traffic takes to produce it, which is days for a high-volume checkout and weeks for a B2B tool.

#### Who is involved from your side, and who does Other Land need from ours?

From us, three people. An AI-native product designer, a design director with startup and B2B experience who validates the work, and a product manager who keeps it pointed at the metric.
From you, we need three things rather than three people. Someone who can approve a release, usually a founder or a PM. A developer we can ask about what is realistic and what already exists. And access, to analytics and to a real account. If you have a support lead or someone in sales, an hour of their time in week one is worth more than most workshops, because they already know what users complain about.

#### Can you do growth design without analytics?

Yes. It is a common starting point for Other Land. We map the funnel with you, define the events that matter for the metric in question, and write the tracking plan your developers implement. Then we wait, because a week or two of clean data beats a month of guessing.
In the meantime the work goes on. We run interviews, review the flows against your product, and prepare the first hypotheses so they are ready the moment numbers arrive. You keep the event structure afterwards, which is often the part clients say they should have done a year earlier.

#### Do you recruit people for interviews and testing yourselves?

Yes, and we prefer to do it with you rather than around you. Your own users are the strongest sample and the cheapest to reach, so where it is possible we recruit from your base through in-product prompts or email, and we handle the screening, scheduling, and incentives.
When your audience is narrow, which is normal in B2B, we use recruiting panels and outreach, and we will tell you upfront if a niche role is going to be slow or expensive to reach. For a UX audit with interviews we usually plan five to eight conversations per segment.

#### How will Other Land work with our team?

Inside your process, not next to it. We join your Slack, your board, and your rituals if you have them, and we run weekly sprints, four weeks minimum, with visible progress every week. Expect a kickoff, a weekly demo of what shipped and what it did to the number, and one working session where decisions get made with your PM and a developer in the room.
If you already have designers, we support them rather than replace them. The most common setup is your team on the roadmap, and an embedded designer from Other Land on the metric that is not moving.

#### What results has Other Land's growth design delivered?

NKI, an online learning platform, saw +63% conversion after a full website redesign with a growth design approach, and The Key Academy's certified-course platform saw +83.7% conversion after a checkout flow improvement. A gift card e-commerce platform saw +49.2% conversion. In a restaurant B2B SaaS, activation of key features grew from 8% to 23%, onboarding dropped from 5 hours with support to 1.5 hours self-serve, support load fell 18%, and two new self-serve features won 7 clients.

#### How is growth design different from CRO or A/B testing?

CRO tunes what is already there, a button, a headline, a step. Growth design at Other Land starts from your analytics and user research, finds where users drop off across activation, conversion and retention, and redesigns the flow behind it. A/B tests are how Other Land measures the result, not the whole method.
