Where most MVPs start

### When founders call Other Land for an MVP

You have the idea and the deck. There is nothing to click.

Idea to working MVP
Investors and early users react to what they can click, not to a deck. Until there is a product, every conversation stays a promise. Zero to one

You built it with AI, and it looks like everything else.

Generic by default
Generic layout, generic flow, generic copy. An AI-native product designer decides what gets generated and what gets thrown away, so it reads like your product. No AI slop

You need to test the idea before you fund a dev team.

Validate before you build
A clickable product is a cheaper test than an engineering sprint. Put it in front of users and investors, find out what is wrong, and change it in days. Validation

You are raising soon and need a product, a brand and a deck.

Raising soon
Product, brand and pitch deck often come from three vendors who never talk. Investors then see three companies instead of one. Fundraising

How we work

### How a 2-6 week MVP build runs

1. Map
We start from what exists and where you want to be

- A working session on the idea, the user, and what has to be true
- What exists, what users and competitors show, and what is missing
- Scope agreed in week one. Which flows are in, which are not

2. Shape
Product logic and brand direction, before any screens

- Core flows mapped. What a user does first, second, and next
- Brand direction if you have none, or your existing one applied
- The assumptions we are testing, written down and agreed with you

3. Build
Every screen and every state, generated and coded

- A design engineer builds in our environment, with AI in the loop
- All flows connected and clickable, not a single happy path demo
- A build you can open and click every week, starting from week two

4. Hand off
The product, the files, and the workflow are yours

- The repo, the environment, and your product documented for the AI
- A hands-on workshop, recorded, so a new hire can set up later
- A spec for the backend, so your developer builds it without guessing

How we use AI

### Built with AI, decided by people

#### Not the average dashboard

A model returns the average of every product it has seen. We set the layout, hierarchy and brand, so your MVP looks like yours.

#### Real states, not demo data

Empty, loading and error states are designed, so the product holds up on its first real day, not only in the pitch demo.

#### The feature people pay for

We check what users need before anything is generated, so the build covers what proves the idea, not just what was named.

#### A review on every screen

Each screen is checked against its flow and design best practices before it reaches you, so nothing ships as generic AI output.

#### Parts that grow with you

The MVP is built on a small design system, so screens you add after launch reuse the same components and stay consistent.

#### Same tools, more judgment

We use the same AI tools at the same speed. What you get is the judgment about what gets built, what gets cut, and why.

Why Other Land

### Why founders choose Other Land for an MVP

#### A team of three

An AI-native product designer or a design engineer, and a design director and product manager. Strategy, product thinking, design and code together.

#### Founders ourselves

We have started products, not only designed them. We know what has to be true to raise the next round.

#### Flexible scope and terms

We start fast, adjust the scope as you learn, and you can pause the work at any time.

What you get

### What an MVP design project delivers. Built with AI, scoped to what you need

A clickable front-end MVP, every flow connected, running in a browser

Product logic. User flows, states, edge cases, and the empty screens

Brand basics. Logo direction, type, colour, and how they work in product

Investor materials. Pitch deck, demo script, and a matching landing page

Social and launch templates, so week one does not need another designer

The environment, the repo, and a workshop so your team keeps generating

A backend spec for data, auth and payments, ready for your developer

A component library in code, so new screens reuse your parts

### MVP design questions, answered

#### What does the MVP include, and what still needs a developer?

Other Land delivers a working front end. Every screen, every flow, every state, connected and clickable in a browser, in your brand.
Your developer then builds the backend, database, auth, payments and integrations against a spec we hand over, so the work is defined rather than guessed at. Founders use the MVP for investor conversations, user testing, waitlists, and pre-sales while the backend is being built.

#### How is Other Land's MVP design different from building it myself in Lovable or v0?

Same tools, different decisions. Those tools will build whatever you describe, and what most founders describe is the product they have seen before. The output works and looks like everyone else's.
At Other Land an AI-native product designer with nine years of shipped products decides the flow, the hierarchy, and what gets cut, and a design engineer builds it so the components stay consistent across every screen. You are not paying for access to a model. You are paying for the judgment about what it should make.

#### We already built something with AI. Can you just review it?

Yes, often as the cheaper first step. An Other Land AI-native product designer goes through what you have built, names where it loses people, where it reads as generic, and what to fix in what order. You get the list and the reasoning behind each item, and you can act on it yourself, hand it to whoever is building, or hand it back to us.
Most founders who come to Other Land this way have a product that works and does not convince, and the fix is usually four or five decisions rather than a rebuild. If you want the same read done against your analytics rather than your screens, that is a UX audit instead.

#### Do you do the branding too, or do we need a separate agency?

Yes, Other Land does it. Naming direction, logo, type, colour, and the visual language, then applied straight into the product rather than delivered as a PDF nobody opens again. If you already have a brand, we work inside it.
Most founders at this stage do not need a full identity system. They need enough brand to look decided rather than defaulted, and enough consistency that the product, the deck, the landing page, and the first social posts look like the same company. That consistency is most of what makes an early product read as real to an investor, and it is the cheapest thing to get right at this stage and the most expensive to retrofit later. When the identity itself needs the work, that is brand design.

#### How long does MVP design take, and what does it cost?

Most MVPs at Other Land take two to six weeks, and a focused one can be ready in two, from the first call to a product you can click through. We start fast, the scope stays flexible as you learn, and you can pause the work at any time. Three people work on it, an AI-native product designer or design engineer, a design director and a product manager. If the idea still needs validating, we add a week at the front for interviews and a sharper problem statement.
It costs less than one month of a senior in-house designer and far less than an agency build, because Other Land runs the whole thing with AI in the workflow rather than through a chain of handoffs. We share the number on the intro call, once we both know what is in scope. After launch, an embedded designer can keep building on it.

#### Can our team keep changing the product after you leave?

Yes, that is the point of the handoff. You get the environment set up on your machines, the repo, and your product documented so the AI knows how it is built and reuses your own components instead of inventing new ones. Then a hands-on workshop, recorded, so a new hire can set themselves up later.
Nobody on your team needs to be technical. After that you prompt new screens yourself and they come out consistent with what is already there.

#### What do you need from us during the build?

Other Land needs a founder in the room, roughly two to four hours a week. You are the source of truth on the idea, the customer, and the business model, and no amount of research replaces that. Practically that means a kickoff session, a weekly review of the build, and decisions inside a day when we ask for them, because a fixed timeline runs on that.
Interviews, a deck, a waitlist, competitor notes and half-finished screens all help. If you want to keep a designer on the product after launch, we move to an embedded design team at whatever pace the next round allows.

#### Can an MVP designed by Other Land help us raise funding?

That is what most founders use it for. Founders Other Land has designed for have raised $156M+, including 12 startups from Y Combinator, a16z and others. In two to six weeks you get a clickable MVP, brand and product logic you can put in front of investors and test with real users before you spend on full development.
