When you need us

### When to redesign your company website

Traffic arrives and almost nobody books a demo.

The site does not convert
Visitors land, read, and leave. The offer is buried, the path to the one action you care about is not obvious, and nobody has tested it. Conversion

Nothing on our site matches where the company is now.

The product outgrew the site
New positioning, new audience, new pricing, and the site still tells the launch story. The style dated with it, so even the true parts read old. Repositioning

Every landing page waits two weeks for a designer.

Marketing cannot ship
Campaigns, launches, and experiments all queue behind design and dev. The site cannot move at the speed the team works. Speed

You can tell nobody designed it, and it shows.

The site looks less mature
A developer assembled it, or AI generated it, or it simply aged. The company reads as more mature than its site, and the site is seen first. Maturity

How we work

### Website design process, week by week

1. Week 1
Agree the structure

- We work with your copy, or help you write it if there is none.
- We propose every page block by block, and say why each one is there.
- We study competitors and your analytics to find what sets you apart.
- Wireframes without final visuals, so your team agrees on structure fast.

2. Weeks 2 to 3
The home page concept

- We design the home page first and agree the direction on it.
- Style, typography, and the visual system, agreed on real content.
- Your brand, or one we build in brand design.
- We take one direction forward and refine it on real pages.

3. Weeks 3 to 6
The rest of the pages

- Every remaining page built from the system the concept established.
- Mobile and tablet layouts designed for every page before the build.
- Editable source files, all of them handed to you at the end.

4. Weeks 5 to 10
Build and test

- Webflow, or a custom build with your own admin and its documentation.
- Analytics, events on the target action, and SEO basics wired in.
- Tested across devices and browsers before anything goes live.

Build options

### Webflow or a custom build for your website

#### Figma and Webflow

The classic route. Quick to launch, and your marketing team edits pages without asking a developer.

#### A custom build with Claude Code

No platform ceiling and a custom admin panel. An experienced web designer still draws every page.

#### A route picked on the call

The right one depends on your team, your content and how fast you need to launch. We recommend one.

Why Other Land

### Why choose Other Land for your website

#### Design and build in one team

One team designs and builds, so what gets designed is what gets built, on one timeline.

#### Live in three to ten weeks

The range depends on the size of the site. Scope and launch date are agreed in the first week.

#### Reviewed by a design director

Every screen goes through the Other Land design director before it reaches you.

### Website design questions, answered

#### How long does a website project take?

A website takes three to ten weeks at Other Land. A focused marketing site of five to eight pages sits at the short end. A larger site with a custom admin, or one that needs new positioning work first, sits at the long one. We agree the scope and the launch date in week one, so you are not paying into an open ended process.
If the site has to be live for a launch or a raise, say the date on the intro call and we will tell you honestly what fits and what has to move to a second phase. Usually the things that can wait are secondary pages and deeper illustration work, not the pages that carry the offer.

#### Webflow, WordPress, or a custom build. Which should we choose?

Time and cost land in roughly the same place either way, so choose by how you want to work afterwards. Webflow is a proven platform and you get the full admin to edit text, reorder blocks, hide or delete them, duplicate a page. It actually takes a little longer to build than the custom route, where AI does most of the assembly.
On the custom route you can ask us for new pages quickly, or take the setup and build them yourself. If all you need is swapping photos and banners or adding blog posts, we give you a simple admin panel for that, so nobody has to learn vibe coding. We are on support either way.
If you were considering WordPress, we recommend one of these two instead.

#### Can our team add new pages after launch?

Yes, on both routes. In Webflow you edit and publish directly. On a custom build we can hand over the setup we used, so your team describes the page it needs and generates it, then adjusts the result.
Most marketing teams take over routine pages within a month and keep us for the harder things, like a new product section or a pricing page rebuild. That is the point of the handover. The site should not need an agency booking for a copy change or a campaign landing page you decided on that morning.

#### What websites does Other Land build?

Other Land builds corporate and product sites, marketing sites for startups, and brand sites with simple commerce attached. The common thread is a site with one job, turning a visitor into a demo request, a signup, or an order. Startups at any stage and established product companies both land here, and the process is the same, only the amount of positioning work differs.
Large multi vendor storefronts we design as products, so if that is closer to your case, start on the marketplace design page.

#### Can you design our brand and website together?

Yes, and it is usually faster together than one after the other, because the identity gets designed with the site in mind rather than handed to someone else to interpret. That work runs on the brand design page and adds roughly three to four weeks to the timeline.
If you already have guidelines you like, we work inside them and this page is all you need. If the identity is dated but the structure is fine, the brand route on its own may be enough. Bring both questions to the call and we will scope whichever combination is actually real for you.

#### Who works on it, and what do you need from us?

An AI-native product designer and a developer, led by our design director. On your side we need one decision maker who can approve a direction, about two hours a week for reviews, and access to your analytics, current copy, and whatever sales uses in calls.
You do not need a brief written in advance. Week one is where we build it together, and teams often find that week useful on its own, because it forces decisions about the offer that had been sitting unresolved for months. Nothing is billed before that scope is agreed.

#### Does Other Land write the website copy?

We write the structure, the headlines, and the argument each page has to make, because that is design work rather than decoration. Long form content, blog articles, and legal pages usually stay with your team, and we hand over the page map plus a short content guide, so what you add later matches what we built.
If you have no writer at all, tell us in the first week and we will bring one in rather than let the site launch with placeholder text, which is the most common reason a good site slips a month past its date.

#### What do we own after the website launches?

Everything. Editable design files for every page and breakpoint, the live build, and on the custom route your own admin panel with documentation for it. Analytics and the events on your target action are wired in before launch, along with metadata, sitemap, and page speed work, so the site is measurable from day one rather than after a separate SEO project.
We move the finished site onto your own domain and hosting before we hand it over. Nothing sits on a licence only we can renew, and nothing needs our account to stay online.

#### Will you still support us after handover?

Yes. Come back whenever something does not work or you cannot figure it out yourself, when you need new pages, when the design is due another refresh, or when there is a second site to build. Nothing about the handover ends the relationship, it just means you are not blocked waiting on us for routine changes.
If the need grows past the website into product work, that is a different collaboration model. The fractional and embedded models put an AI-native product designer inside your team, part time or full time. Tell us what came up and we will say which one fits.

#### How much does a website cost?

Other Land works in weekly sprints and bills every four weeks, like a subscription, with a four-week minimum. You choose the setup: an embedded designer on your roadmap, a project sprint for one release, or fractional support from 40 hours a month. After a 30-minute intro call Other Land sends a written estimate for your actual scope, so you know the number before anything starts.
