What we collect
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages are read and which links are used, for example clicks to book a call. It records pages, approximate location, device and browser, not your name or email.
- Your consent choice. If you are in the EU, the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, analytics only starts after you accept it in the cookie banner. Your choice is stored in your browser so we do not ask again.
- Country lookup. To decide whether to show the banner, the site asks our own server which country the request comes from. Only the country is used, and it is not stored.
- What you send us. If you email us or book a call, we receive what you write and the details you enter.
Why we use it
- Analytics: with your consent in the EU, the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, and on the basis of our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used elsewhere.
- Emails and call bookings: to answer you and to take steps you ask for before a possible contract.
- Server logs: our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and working.
Cookies and browser storage
- _ga and _ga_1PBBT4GLZ2 (Google Analytics): tell visits apart and measure them, kept for up to 2 years. Set only after consent where consent is required.
- ol_cookie_consent (stored in your browser, not a cookie): remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics, until you clear your browser data.
You can change your choice at any time with , also linked at the bottom of every page. Declining switches analytics off and removes its cookies.
What we do not do
We do not run advertising trackers, sell personal data, or build profiles of visitors. There are no forms on this site that collect data in the background.
Third parties
- Google Analytics (Google LLC) processes analytics data on our behalf.
- Vercel hosts the site and keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses, for security and reliability.
- Calendly handles call bookings. When you book, its own privacy policy applies.
Transfers outside your country
Google, Vercel and Calendly are based in the United States. Where data from the EU, the EEA, the UK or Switzerland is transferred there, the transfer relies on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and its UK and Swiss extensions where the provider is certified, or on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
Analytics data is kept for the retention period set in Google Analytics. Emails and booking details are kept while we work together and for as long as we need them to answer you or meet legal obligations.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. If you are in the EU, the EEA or the UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority. To change your analytics choice, use Cookie settings at the bottom of any page.
California residents
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can ask us what we hold about you and ask us to delete or correct it, and we will not treat you differently for asking.
Children
This site is for businesses and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their data.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS only, and access to the data we receive is limited to the people at Other Land who need it to answer you.
Changes
When this policy changes, we update the date at the top of the page.
